Redmi has already announced plans to bring the Redmi Turbo 5 to India. Now, a fresh report suggests the company is also getting ready to launch another device alongside it — the Redmi 17 5G.
According to that report, both smartphones are expected to make their Indian debut on June 18. The Redmi 17 is rumored to be positioned as an affordable entry point into 5G.

The device could feature a Snapdragon 4-series chip under the hood, paired with a battery larger than 7,000mAh. It's also said to come with an LCD panel that supports a high refresh rate.
The same report goes on to claim that the Redmi 17 5G will include a 50MP main camera on the rear and an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies. Out of the box, it is expected to run HyperOS based on Android 16.
Redmi's Turbo 5 originally launched in China back in January, bringing a 6.59-inch AMOLED display, a Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, a 50MP primary rear camera, and a 7,560mAh battery.
